Top 6 suburbs near Miami

If you are looking for some nice suburbs near Miami – you are in the right place. We have picked the top 6 we liked the best. Obviously, we researched all of them and based on criteria like safety, schools, livability score, and the rest we selected the six you are about to see. You should know this was not an easy task. There are so many great suburbs near Miami. We all know that Miami is a great place (and has amazing nightlife) but sometimes people crave some peace and quiet. Only suburbs can get you that. That’s why so many families are moving to the suburbs. So do the seniors. Before we start you should know that the suburbs we chose are so far from boring. You will find a lot of great amenities or places for entertainment. Now, we can begin.

Sunny Isles Beach

Sunny Isles Beach has many beautiful beaches. Yes, we know that is not very astonishing since there are so many amazing beaches in or near Miami. But we really liked the amenities this suburb has for the kids (near the beaches). About twenty miles to the north of Miami is where you’ll find this village, which is situated on a barrier island. Collins Avenue, the city’s major thoroughfare and a segment of Florida’s gorgeous coastal roadway A1A offers inhabitants a wide variety of retail and dining options in addition to those beautiful beaches that are a hallmark of the city. The Oleta State Park is a great place to spend time in nature. Outdoorsy families love this place. Sunny Isles Beach is the place to be if you have kids and want to live in a nice and fun place. This can be a great place for retirees as well.

We had to start with the place with the nicest beaches.

North Bay Village is one of the best suburbs near Miami

North Bay Village, in Miami-Dade County, is a small community on Biscayne Bay. Even though it is relatively small, this area has a number of well-known eateries and night spots that have drawn celebrities and locals alike for decades. What was once only a tourist destination is now a full-fledged settlement with its own schools and supermarkets. Make sure to research the North Bay Village homes. Maybe you can take advantage of the abundance of options and reasonable pricing that exists at the moment. This is not the ideal retirement place. In fact, many Floridians from here are moving to Maryland to retire. But this place is perfect for families with young kids and families with dogs.

You surely know about Coral Gables

This might be the most popular Miami suburb. Just 5 miles west of Miami’s central business district is Coral Gables which is a great option for commuters. You can get to Miami in no time.  The Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is one of the most popular locations in this area. The Lowe Art Museum is yet another one of the many attractions in this area. The Venetian Pool is another interesting feature. It was fashioned in the 1920s out of a coral rock quarry. Coral Gables is a great place to call home, with all of its excellent dining options and retail establishments. This might be the place to find your ideal house but if you want to buy a home for yourself and your family here make sure to hurry up. Winter months are ideal for buying in this area.

Have you heard about Pinecrest?

Pinecrest may be found southwest of Miami, around 11 miles away. The Arbor Day Foundation recognized this suburban village as a Tree City USA because of its extensive network of parks and proximity to a botanical garden. The city has also paid special attention to our atmosphere. They planted over 10,000 street trees. This is good for the environment, it gives us shade and it looks nice. It’s a win-win-win combination if you ask us.  Pinecrest also features an excellent public school system, a number of different places of worship, and a wide selection of food stores. You won’t have to worry about your kids’ education here. Hopefully, you won’t have to move in a hurry and you will have time to explore all of these amazing places we are showing you now.

We all love Palmetto Bay

Palmetto Bay may be reached by car southwest of Miami in about 20 minutes. You can enjoy the beach and other local attractions including the Deering Glade (preserve) and the historic Deering Estate. The town is very proud of itself for being able to combine rural character with modern conveniences, which makes it an appealing place to live. If you decide to move to Palmetto Bay (or any other Miami suburb) you should think about hiring movers to make things a bit easier on you. There is always a friendly crew ready to help you out  in this city. All you need to do is reach out.

This is a really fun place and you should check it out.

Last but definitely not least is Key Biscayne

You will find this place on a barrier island right across Miami. It is still considered to be a part of Miami and this place is so charming that we just had to put it on our list But this is not just a fun tourist destination. This is a great place to live or raise a family. Crandon Park as well as the Bill Baggs Cape State Park are located just outside the town, while the town itself is surrounded by water. That is a pretty unusual deal but it can be very peaceful and pretty. Especially in the mornings.  Key Biscayne boasts all the conveniences of a modern suburb, such as restaurants, shops, and even a grocery store, on top of its natural beauty. We showed you some of our favorite suburbs near Miami and now it’s up to you to research them all.
